The O’Maine Media Kitchen is unlike any other kitchen in the country, or at least we haven’t found one doing what we are doing, and that is pretty exciting.
Our goal is to be the creative foodie center of our city, and to shine a light on the amazing foodie talent here for the world to see. We happen to have the media chops to make this happen.
Rory, our founder, is a long time media pro, having founded Resort Sport Network, the Emmy award winning World Adventure Sports, produced the Emmy winning Lobster Chef of the Year for NESN and is a consultant to Warren Miller Films before founding the O’Maine Studio and Media Kitchen with the goal of creating a world class media kitchen and foodie hub right here in our amazing city.
Cooking shows can be filmed here with our custom backdrops and changeable sets. Recipe video shoots with a kitchen set customized to a brand. Instagram videos for food and beverage companies or even videos for trade shows. Pop up dinners, R&D kitchen, private cooking classes (with your own chef or one of ours), mixology or wine-tasting classes, corporate cooking classes and team building.
The possibilities are endless, as food is an integral part of events, social dynamics and our foodie culture. Our kitchen studio can be used for an event in conjunction with our main studio or as a separate space.

An intimate audience is seated with the Chef and a guest interviewer. Just like a film screening the dining guests get to participate in the Q & A. The story of the Chef’s signature dish is revealed to all that are seated at the table as the questions unfold and the signature dish is served.
We are working with some of the incredibly talented James Beard award winning chefs in Portland to create foodie TV shows, kids cooking classes where kids are paired with chefs, and will be the Culinary Arts center for some of Portland’s colleges, universities and high schools. Classes will range from french cooking to food photography and styling to wine tastings and mixology courses. Classes are only limited by imagination.
